Blue cruise: „Blue cruise" refers to ship cruises that are taken either as day excursions or as  weekly tours. This type of cruise is certainly not a five star type of cruise but it offers passengers a view of the  extremely fascinating coast and is geared toward those who want a more rugged type of  vacation. The quaint ships, referred to as 'Gulet', are made  of wood and  are  between 18 to 30 meters in length. These ships can accomodate between 10 and 16 guests who stay  together  for one week.It is definitely for those with a passion for  romanticism, nature and pristine  blue water.Interested persons can book the journeys with the tour organizers, or  at the ports in Kemer.You can also go to the  Antalya Setur Marina to get information and to reserve your dreamboat for the next vacation. Guests sleep on deck under a tent of 1.001 stars during the warm summer months. Day tours booked directly at the ports  are  considerably cheaper than those arranged through the travel-agencies.

Cappadocia (Kappadokia): Fabulous, bizarre, adventurous and endearing, are some of the impressions that one gets in Cappadocia (Kappadokia). History has it that  the christians withdrew, in great numbers, to Cappadocia in the 4. Century A.C. after the last great persecution by the Romans.The arae looks like a moon landscape, and ithere are many towers made of stone. There are underground cities of up to  20 floors in depth which took hundreds of years to build by men who worked like moles in manholes.They built rooms all linked by intricate passageways and stairs. This amazing underground structure was built with light afforded by mere oil lamps and remains a legacy to mankind. It is not certain who started  the digging,but there are indications that the Hethitis began using the caves as depots. Archeologists have been able to open up the first 10 floors to date.Based on assumptions it is inferred that between 16.000 to 20.000 people once lived in this underground city with 20 floors. It is certainly a site you must see and one which you will not soon forget owing to its history and uniqueness!

Carpets: The choice of Turkish carpets is unlimited. There are many different types of carpets like  a Kayseri of silk, a Hereke of cotton, or even the rarer Cirque's, Konya, Milas or Kilim. They are all  wonderful pieces. Carpet buying is a confidential matter! Looking out is announced! Free house deliveries are normal.Should you not have enough cash, as it often times the case, you can take the carpet and pay later by transferring the money from home. In this type of  business everything is possible! My advice: Never buy a carpet out of pity on account of the appearance of the seller!

Caves of Karain: This museum in Antalya showcases many interesting exhibits from the time of the cavemen. Current excavations being conducted promises even more findings from this era. Evidence suggest that there were people living here 50.000 years ago and it is the first place where humans settled in Turkey.

Cellular phone: When you land at the airport and turn on your cellphone, the device will be routed to one of the Turkish nets login from TURKCELL, VODAFONE/TELSIM or ARIA. The use of cellphones are not always possible in a few regions of Turkey. It is advisable to  get yourself a Turkish Prepaid-card (Hazirkart) from  one of the Turkish Providers. Calls placed with this with this card are cheaper and cost around 15 EURO. It can be loaded with any desired amount.
