urinate or spit in the water.The sun action on the water encourages
bacteria and pathogenic agents to thrive.As a preacaution, you should get
your doctor to prescribe an antibiotic against this and administer it to
your child the minute you recognize the symptoms (Earaches and discharge).
Mosque: Please avoid entering
a a mosque during prayer. Short trousers
are not allowed. Shoes are also taken off before
entry. Women are to use a
head scarf and cover all parts of the body.
Museum: (Turkish: Müze) The
archaeological museum of Antalya houses the most important collection of
ancient art next to Athens. Many pieces from the
early Anadolu
period are to
be seen. Opened daily from 10.00 o'clock until
12.00 o'clock and 13.30 o'clock until 17.00 o'clock. On Mondays
it is
closed. A visit to the museum's is
a must for the historically interested visitors. The entry is about 2,50
Euro per person.

of drugs is strictly prohibited and is
severely punished. In February 2001 a woman
was sentenced to 30 years of jail for possession of 26 kilos
heroin!!
Nudism: Please show respect for the culture and religion of the people here
by refarining from being nude or topless. Nudity is a crime in Islam
and is regarded as immoral and illegal.In the big holiday resorts,
however, you can lie topless
at the beach as there are only Europeans here.
Newspapers: You
can find all the big European daily papers and magazines
here like; Focus, Mirror, Star
and others. However, the prices are more than twice
as high, as in your country
owing to the customs
and transportation costs.
